Listing a house is not enough these days - with many properties offered for sale - you got to have a really good marketer/realtor working with you on selling your house.
Have the perspective agents prepare their CMA (market analysis), ask questions about how they arrived at their price, go see other properties for sale to see what you are up against...and have your agent prepare a detailed marketing plan with marketing your house on the web.
Interview at least three reputable Realtors. Ask them to do a market analysis on three or four similar houses in your neighborhood that have sold in the last nine months. Review their marketing plan and ask questions. You will know you have made the right choice if your Realtor returns your phone calls and emails you feedback. Good Luck
Listing your house is fairly simple. The easiest and most recommended way is through a licensed Realtor. Sit down with a Realtor and have him/her explain the process to you. You are under no obligation to list with that person. It is always advisable to interview at least two Realtors; just like getting a second opinion at the Doc's office.
