If you are a for sale by owner the post is not allowed, you can however try blogging about the property; if and when you do list with an agent, he/she can post it for you, ask; or consider any flat fee realty company that feeds into the site.

Hi Robert,

If you're asking how to list a house on Trulia, you need to have your Realtor post it on here. Trulia does not post For Sale By Owner homes.

Locate the best agent for you and your needs. Ask friends, family and neighbors who they would hire to sell their home. After interviewing a few, pick one and start the packing.

You and agent will decide on a plan of action, which should marketing, a broker tour, open houses, and showing instructions including visiting hours. If you are an agent just go to the help area for guidance. If you are not an agent selling a home you need to find an agent to post on Trulia. They don't allow sellers to post homes for sale.

I would suggest interviewing a couple agents who have experience and success working with buyers and sellers in your area. You would want an agent who can compare your home accurately to the competition and past sales, price it accurately to sell, make economical suggestions as to staging, de-cluttering or updating if that will help sell your home, and be a good negotiator. You would also want to know about their marketing plan, including their online presence so that your home will be easily found online when the online shoppers search for certain areas or amenities. You also want someone you fell comfortable with.
