Excellent question Staging certainly will be one of the keys to selling your home but there is more to it than that...click on the link below where you will find what other 5 key items are when selling a home faster and for a higher price.

Staging makes the home look much better if done right. I was once told by a mega agent that he tells is clients the day you sign a listing contract with me is the day you no longer live here. His team will go in and remove all personal items, photo, junk, and even clean up the garage so it look more open and larger then life. I think as humans we tend to collect lots of things and gather them up in our home. I do this myself. You want buyers to walk into the home and be able to picture their family living in that home. If they are bumping into tables, chairs and looking at the home owners pictures of his kids on vacation, it tends to be a little hard to picture anything but clutter. So to answer your question I say yes staging is important in most cases to sell your listings.

Yes but only for certain kinds of properties. The larger homes I feel is a must. For smaller floor plans you can stage a home in a small way and still get a great affect. I have sold a lot of real estate and no buyers like walking into a home that is vacant, cold, hot, etc... it is hard for them to feel at home in your home.......
