I do have a few question for you, so I think I can assist....as long as you are not currently under agreement with a Real Estate professional. I had the same type of question with another seller.

Hi Clk0224,
What did you buy with the $8,000 dollars? Maybe you can sell it to pay back the money. Good Luck

I can't move for a year because I don't want to pay back the first time home buyer credit (8000). I have only lived in my home for 24 months 12 months short of the requirement. Help!

Hi Clk0224,

Before you can get an accurate answer to your question, you need to provide a little more information. Why are you selling your home if you can't move for a year?

If you don't have relatives or friends that can take you in, lease? Or maybe buy a vacation home to use as a temporary primary residence? Probably need more information, Clk. Good Luck!
