deck that couldn't be fixed until the ground thawed. The allotted time was up for the repairs to be done, so my husband called to see if there was anything left over in the account after repairs and was very rudely told that it was our responsibility to make sure that the repairs got done. That is not how this was explained to us, and how would we arrange repairs on a home that we legally cannot approve anything on? We were also told that it is our responsibility to pay for all these repairs out of pocket and then they would reimburse us out of the escrow account that they set up out of our money. Is this right? I was our understanding that we put the money in escrow and the lender and buyer handled the repairs from there. If it used up everything in the escrow account because of additional problems then so be it, but unless the actual repairs were going to go over that amount then we would not be bothered about it again. I don't mean to be naive, we just need a straight answer.
