My husband and I are first time buyers. We like the Haverford Twp Area - lived here all our lives. Are there any grants available like UD, Del County?

You can get a grant from PHFA up to $3,000, but the interest rate is set at 5.75% when market rate is about 4.50% for FHA. Give a call to Joseph S. Cordova at Lincoln Mortgage Company (856) 304-2381 for more details and options.

When you are ready to start looking give me a call. I would be happy to help you.

PHFA currently offers a 1st-time homebuyer "grant", subject to income and purchase price limits, but funding for the program is set to expire this month and the governor's budgetary address on Tuesday should outline whether funding for that program will continue. Good Hunting!

To the best of my knowledge there are not specific grants available for that area, however, you may be eligible for the State grants.

Let me know when you are ready. I can send you the available info and will do a more exhaustive search for you.

Good luck with all!
