What does the trust say? Only the Trust can tell.

Have you seen the trust? It will depend on what is written in the Trust. Read it carefully and ask a Probate/Trust Attorney if you have questions.

Best of Luck.

We have no idea what your aunt’s living trust says. Even if we did, the answer to your question needs to come from an attorney and not a Realtor.

The answer to your question is in the trust. Read it carefully if you have a copy. What are the powers and obligations of the trustee? If you can’t figure it out consult an attorney.

It depends on the terms of the trust. It could be either way, depending on what your aunt (did you mean "aunt"?) specified. Often, the person who created the trust directs the trustee to act in a certain manner. It would be unusual (but not impossible) for a person to direct that the trustee live in the house rent free.

But the only way to determine that is to know what your aunt specified.
