Is there something odd about a buyer asking a sellers agent if they should make an offer on a home 3 days before an open house?

Seems as though the answer to this is obvious in any HONEST system doesn't? If you want a home, you would make the offer if it is in good faith before the open house. Unless of course the seller's agent is in cahoots with the buyer AND the buyer's real estate agent? (what if the potential buyer is a relative of their agent? )

As Real Estate professionals, we are expected to abide by a strict Code of Ethics, which would exclude any dealing "under the table" by the seller's agent and a potential buyer.
