I am Realtor/Broker in the area that you are interested in. Typically, the buyer pays for all inspections. Of
course, anything is negotiable in the Offer to Purchase. If I can help you in any way, I would be happy to.
Best of luck to you in your search.

Ms. Taylor, I am not familiar with the real estate laws in North Carolina, but my advice is that in a market like this, the seller needs to consider paying for inspections. As a sellers representative in Florida, I would suggest to my sellers they spend a few hundred dollars and proceed with the contract. It's very difficult to sell in this market and you and your agent need to do everything possible to get the house sold. Don't let a few hundred dollars ruin the sale of the property. I hope this information helps and remember it's a buyers market. Good luck.
