Neighborhood standard square footage is around 1300 sq ft, but my house is only 1032 sq ft even though it has standard 3 bed/2bath. 50% of houses in neighborhood have garage converted to family room. In this scenario, is it worthwhile to get the garage converted with permit and add to the square footage of the house?I would also like to add that I am trying to sell our house and several interested buyers have expressed concern over the smaller square footage.
