Should I sell it ? is there a market for this type of property? how are prices holding up in that end of the market? Property sits on 4.667 acres of land and has mountain/ valley views. Do i need to carry this thing till the cycle comes back?

Are you near Blowing Rock or Banner Elk? Also what do you have in it? I grew up (from Jr high on till college) down the mountain in Lenoir. So I use to travel up 321 all the time. It has changed alot lately with the new road but, Boone and the surrounding areas have not changed that much. Although it has been a few years since I hit Sugar Mountain to ski. My sister is actually relocating from Florida back to NC and a log cabin on 4.667 acres sounds right down her alley. She and her husband actually have a log cabin in Florida. I know not the usual home you see in the sunshine state but, that is what they like. If you give me some info I could find out. I guess to answer you question though NC is going through a unusual time. Areas like Asheville and Boone are doing fairly well. Alot of retirees from Florida are actually moving out of FL because of the heat and crime. They don't want to go all the way back up north so they come halfway. They are being called halfbacks. So there is a market. If you have a great view that really helps with that crowd. If you decide to sit on it you could always rent it out. There is ski season if you are near Banner Elk. There is the leaf season, and in the spring and summer the snow birds. I have a friend that has one of the mushroom houses off Big Birch at Sugar Mountain. I can ask him who is managing it for him if you like.

If you need help and do decide to sell just let me know and I can contact one our top agents in the area to help you with that. Or if you just want some information they can help you with a CMA or to tell you about the local market where you are exactly. I mean Boone is somewhat of a college town with App and of course Bannner Elk is skiing, Blowing Rock is in between.

Just let me know if you need anything,
