Trulia receives the information from listings, in this case from MLS (multiple listing service). If the agent does not have a profile on Trulia, the listing will still go up, just not their contact information. Couple of things to remember, sites like Trulia and Zillow are not 100% accurate. In fact, if you read Zillow.com fine print, says the estimates can be off up to 20% and to contact a local realtor. They are both good sites and offer a good overall view, but if you want to get the real numbers, sold comparisons and etc, contact a local Realtor.

Homes can be listed manually or automatically depending on the company and the systems they use. Not all homes are listed in Trulia and MLS however.

When I am fortunate enough to gain a new listing, I create a visual tour on the listing which then links the listing to Trulia.com.

Our broker's listings are posted automatically. All we do is go in and fill in additional details.
