How do you get your house for sale to show up in a Trulia search?

Asked by Joe, 78705 Tue Jun 26, 2007

Where does Trulia get their homes to put in their database? My home is on Austin MLS, but Trulia does not pick it up. WHY? Anyone know a contact number for someone at Trulia who can help me or how to get my home in their database?

You have to have your own database to pull from. It's easier than zillow.

That is odd. All of our listings where pulled from the local MLS immediately....

Checkout . There's a form to fill out to get the feed to work. Also, with any of the websites it is not an instant fix, sometimes it might take a few days for the data to transfer.

Trulia is relatively new, so your agent may not be aware of it. It's also possible that the agent's broker doesn't know either.

Tell your agent that they need to go to the front page, on the bottom left is a link "real estate professionals", click on that, it explains how to "broker load" listings.

Hope that helps. I am sure that if your agent is having challenges the staff at Trulia can assist.
