How do Realtors and builders reach the Hispanic market?

Asked by Zoraida Matos, 60106 Sat Sep 8, 2007

Not only is the Hispanic real estate market the nation's fastest-growing, according to a Harvard University study,

The Latino market can be a lucrative one for real estate agents, said Gary Acosta, vice chairman and chief
executive officer of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.

"But to get things moving, agents must learn how to reach out to this community," Acosta said.

I would like to share some insights with you.....I am Business Development Professioanl in MIAMI where Spanish is the first langue....and the Latino community is number one and very affluent. My experience in terms of marketing to the Hispanic community is not any different that any good business plan would have...I suspect by your sur name that you might be able to speak Spanish......but in a nut shell its about beining involved with organizations( Realtors,WCR,Civil, Church, PTA, you get the idea) and network, self branding and promotion.....the bottom line its all the same just another langue.

Ola Zoraida,
I have a spanish Speaking Loan Officer but I need an I am learning Spanish. I am European and have travelled central america which helps me understand the cultural differences. I am a member of the international board of Realtors run through our local board. There are plenty of latino clubs and societies and networks we can talk and distribute information to. Also we can send info to Miami, New York, CA & Texas which is where we see the hispanic buyers comming from. Networking is definately a plus, so I would be happy to serve your hispanic referrals. gracias.

I have many Hispanic clients, many that do not speak English. I employ an interpreter for these clients. I have clients of Russian decent and I have a Russian speaking pperson that assists me with these clients.

I have developed a following with people that do not speak English and I have found that Spanish speaking people especially are very loyal once I prove myself but they are far more comfortable speaking with someone who fluently speaks their language.
