Each home that is constructed in The Villages has a model plan that provides square footage. If you want to know if your home is extended, measure and compare it to the number that the model gives you. However, if you do not know your model, I would suggest that you go to the Villages Sales Administration office and ask there or search through the internet for the proper county Property Appraiser following the hyperlink: http://dor.myflorida.com/dor/property/appraisers.html

Dear Pat,

in CT any additions to a home must have the proper permits from Town Hall. That may be a good place to start searching for plans (blue prints or drawings) that would have been submitted with the application for permits.

Good Luck!
