My home has been on the market for over 8 months. We listed it originally at what the realtor suggested and have slowly lowered the price by $15K. IT is now listed for 99K which is what it was listed as when we bought it. We bought the home 3.5yrs ago. Since purchase, we have put a new roof, new siding, ripped up carpet and refinished hardwood floors, tore out paneling and added drywall, painted, added 2 new furnaces (1 is 95% energy efficient), and added all new appliances in the kitchen. The home is a craftsman in a community with lots of older homes from early 1900s.
Our realtor says the reason our home is not selling because of our location and due to no garage. Several of our neighbors do not have a garage. It is not in a bad part of town just not the top notch desirable.
What suggestions to get this house to sell??
