Where is this description you are referring to? If it is on the multiple listing service and you have an agent, they can change the description. If you mean Zillow they have an area where the homeowner can make amendments.

You should definitely change the listing if it's wrong. Vinyl siding is a little more modern than wood, and you'll want buyers to know exactly what they're going to see. Your siding is a big part of the curb appeal for your home. http://www.michelhomeimprovement.com

There are many different types of siding: vinyl or aluminum, wood, wood shingle, brick, cement fiberboard, asbestos, stucco. Much of it is local or regional preference, or may be characteristic of a particular style of home. It largely depends on personal preference, based on aesthetics, cost, ease of maintenance. Some buyers seek out particular siding while others avoid it. It's just another factor in the decision whether or not to buy a particular property.

It's good that they included this. They want buyers to be aware of what siding the home has. This is especially important if it affects the value of the home. http://www.marshbuildingproducts.com/vinyl-siding.php

The type of siding can be a pretty significant factor to a lot of buyers. A lot of people prefer vinyl siding because it is more weather resistant. It definitely could affect the value of the home. There's no saying that it would affect the value, but it's always a possibility. You should talk to your realtor to figure this out more.

I think it's really important that you try to make repairs on all the broken things on your home. You are trying to build value hear. Buyers don't think broken facades are valuable. You should try to make some phone calls and get some estimates. http://www.starksiding.com/siding

If the home description says that it has vinyl siding, it is just talking about the type of siding that they have on the home. My home has wood clapboard, but my neighbor has vinyl siding and it looks really great. If you are worried about how it will look or if it will last long, you can probably figure out how long lasting vinyl siding is. Otherwise, I don't think that it should be too big of a problem with the appeal and value of the home. http://www.building9.biz/vinyl-siding

I agree that it's just talking about the siding of the home. I'm not sure what they mean with the wood clapboard, but I wouldn't be afraid to ask. The value of a home is important and it's crucial to ask good questions when looking to buy. This can end up saving you a lot of time and money! http://www.centuryroofing.ca/siding.html
