We've had both a Palm Harbor and a Jacobson home. Never heard of the other. We currently have a Jacobson model for sale. We liked both, and both went through hurricanes easily. This one is plaster and painted inside and the flooing is tile and carpet. It is an open split plan with the master suite taking up the whole end of the house. This one has a finished inside laundry. Everything is up graded even though it is a 2004 model. This was to be our last home...but so was the Palm Harbor! So we spared no expense on / in it. I think they are pretty equal in quality. This one meets and exceeds the newest hurricane requirements. It is a 3/2 1710 sq ' home in a gated golf community over 55+. We are located 20 minutes to Lakeland, 40 to either Orlando or Tampa and 10 to Winter Haven. 863-956-5637. Jgreer4@tampabay.rr.com. Homes in Polk county average $109,000 and this is one of the top five areas in the nation for growth. (The Ledger Sept. 20).
