Do you have links of these two homes? Are they all in Fremont? My sister just bought this house http://www.realtor.com/search/listingdetail.aspx?ctid=75516&… Is any of these two houses close to my sister's new home?

We are also interested in Fremont, but all houses we went thru the open houses and like sold over the weekend.

they're not going up anytime soon
it took 5 years to inflate the bubble

to deflate it

Thank you all for your prompt answers. You have educated me well. I was just trying to get a second opinion, of course which one to put an offer on is entirely our decision, but i wanted to see what other people are thinking, especially realtors. We have pretty much made up our mind to put an offer for the one on Bishop the price on that one is great, we did not find another comparable in the same or similar elementary school. We were just a little hesitant to see if we should wait if prices would fall further.

Hi Jennifer,

I am a Realtor and i have shown both these properties to my buyers. Both are within the same parkmont school district and show well.

While Briarton ter is newer, it is smaller in sq. footage and has a smaller backyard and HOA as well. But the community is very nice. Bishop is a bit older , has more sq. footage and it has a bigger yard too, but there are train tracks right behind the house. There is another listing on Neon ter, which you should consider as well. That house shows really well.

They all are within the same price range and good starter homes, just consider what criterias weigh in more for you and make your decision. All the facts are in front of you, let your head and heart make the decision, nobody else can do it for you! I always say- buy a house you fall in love with!!

Good luck to you in finding your dream home. If i can be of any assistance do let me know. I know the area intimately and have helped a number of buyers find their dream homes.

Best Regards,

Hi Jennifer,

I just saw them in the MLS. They both look like good homes. I don't think anyone can tell you which is a better house. That should be entirely your decision. Buying a house is a big decision and the selection you make depends on what are the features that you need and if the house has those features. You will probably be living in the house for a few years at least.

One of the homes is one story and the other one is a two story. That is also something that should be important in your decision. Does that make a difference? Maybe it dosen't right now, but it could in the future.

As far as your concern about the price, we do not know whare the prices will be in the future. I wish we had a crystal bowl to see that, but the market is picking up in Fremont which is where you are looking per the MLS numbers you gave above.
