Hi Patricia, if you are open to Somerset County, you might consider Watchung, Warren, Basking Ridge, Bridgewater, Bedminster. Taxes in these communities are pretty forgiving, particularly Bedminster. Depending on the type of housing you are looking for - single family, townhome/condo, and price point, there will be options in these communities. They lie along the 78 corridor which makes Summit a clean shot.

If you'd like to explore Somerset County further, I'd be happy to help.

This is research that you will have to do on your own, here is where you would start: http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/lpt/taxrate.shtml

Once you've found the lowest taxes, try using this website to find the lowest mortgage rates: http://sjrates.com

Kudos to you for doing your homework before you buy!!!
