George the great thing about our area and Daphne specifically is there are so many choices. If waterfront is your thing we have some spectacular properties and neighborhoods that front Mobile Bay with incredible views and amazing sunsets. If you are looking for something off the water there are some extremely well done subdivisions that will fit anyone's definition of spectacular. If you are interested in our area feel free to contact me directly at Shamrock Properties. We are centrally located in Daphne, Alabama and can help you find the right neighborhood for you.

There are a lot of great areas to live in Daphne, Alabama. It depends on what you are looking for in regards to amenities. The neighborhood with swimming pools/golf course etc include Timbercreek, Rockcreek and Lake Forest. In addition, there are some new communities popping up that offer new construction. Work with a realtor that knows the neighborhoods so they can help pinpoint those specialties you are looking for in a neighborhood.

Hi George,
Everyone has a different definition of nice. Even so, Real Estate Agents are not allowed to comment on a variety of topics. The Fair Housing Act restricts the information that can be provided by a Real Estate Agent. Visiting the area and making your own determinations about what is best for you is the way to go.

Off Limit Topics Include:
• Crime Statistic (including questions about whether a neighborhood is good or bad or safe)
• Demographics
• Environmental Concerns
• Household Income
• Religion
• Schools (including questions about how good or bad the school is)

Determining to the answers to questions on any of the topics listed above is something that you would need to do on your own. It is up to the individual to make their own determination about a specific area. If a Real Estate Agent were to comment on such a thing, it could be steering which is a prohibited act.

Any good/nice place to live reflects one's wants, needs, lifestyle, budget, etc.; therefore if unfamiliar with the areas, take the time and visit more than once, look at whatever is important to you, then make a determination based on your personal preferences....

The answer to that question has so many variable, not the least of which is price and the type of property you want.

Basically, how do you define "nicest"? Near the bay? Private? All updated and new, or older home with character? Established neighborhoods with mature trees or newer subdivisions that might be on the outskirts in previous farm fields?

Please give me a call or send me a message via my profile so I can get more details about what appeals to you and your budget. I'll then research specific properties that might be a good match, including location.
