See below for a link to the California School Performance Map. Click on the balloons > then the CDE link >scroll to the bottom > click on Quick link to Data Reports. Basically everything you need to know about a school will be there.

Also, don't forget that in San Francisco your child is not guaranteed placement in the school closest to where they live. Check out the FAQ's under Enrollment on the San Francisco Unified School District website.

Consider doing some homework of your own first--if schools are a concern, do visit the districts in areas of interest to you, ask for a tour of the facility, speak to the principal, teachers, etc., ask all your questions and then make a determination as to where your comfort level can best be reached--keep in mind opinions are just that, what may be good for one is not necessarily the case for another.
