Our rule of thumb is to use a figure which is approximately 1% of the purchase price to calculate annual property taxes in Washington County (where Springdale is located). However, if the home is your principal residence your property taxes may be less, since in Arkansas residents receive a $350 annual homestead credit on their principal residence. In addition, residents over 65 can apply to have their property taxes frozen so they don't go up, and veterans with disabilities also get preferential treatment.
