Irenebernal87 -

Three years is a long time to wait - you've received some great answers below - speak with a local lender, who knows the local market where you want to live, not necessarily where you currently live if you are looking at relocating.

With inventory currently at an all time low, buying a home is now a process - your best solution is:

1. Speak with a local lender - here are 2 of my local favorites:
Paul Porteus with Prospect Mortgage (661) 547-1250
Joseph Fernando with Performance Mortgage (661) 547-1435

2. Start your home search now - find a website that works for you - here's one:
http://www.TamaraStoebe.com - these are currently available homes in the Antelope Valley

3. Be PATIENT - be prepared to write many offers, but go out and look at properties, check out open houses on the weekend - you can find those in the AV Press or via my website at http://bit.ly/11oLcxc

I wish you the absolute best of luck - and if I can help you look at properties when you are ready, please let me know.

To get a true answer you need to speak to a lender. He/She will run your credit report, review your income and expenses and give the best possible answer. That being said, if you have re-established your credit and have not had any late payments or other issues you should be able to purchase another home.

Please give me a call and I can get you started on the right track.

Best thing is talk to a lender first to see about qualifying. This way you and your agent will know exactly what price range to be looking at.
