Hello Gizmo,

Many buyers contact me about properties that were off the market that Trulia had listed as Active. Active means that the property is currently available for sale. I am guessing from previous experience that Trulia is about 1 month off from what's on the current market.

A buyer that was enthralled with a property on Trulia called me last week to inquire about purchasing the home, but the house had already sold to another buyer.

Since you are interested in Short Sales, feel free to check out my article on What Are The Pitfalls to Avoid When Negotiating A Short Sale:…

Trulia is a great resource for buyers to initially understand the market as they discuss prices with their realtor. If you would like current information, feel free to contact me at your convenience.

they are not current, many mistakes. I don't have any idea how often they update. I listed my house, 3 days ago it is still not here.
i believe, they pull their information from mls. In Los Angeles ( my mls is TheMLS- claw, link below), the do have a guest search. I listed today another property in my mls and i just clicked 'submit', i had a call from an agent about that listing. Amazing!
