Ann,

You should have no problem finding a great starter home. Is this your first home purchase? If so you may look into THDA and keep in mind the Home Buyer Tax Credit that is pending with the stimulus bill. 10% of home purchased up to $8k if home is purchased in '09. Details to follow!

Feel free to visit http://www.ChattanoogaHomes4Sale.com and click on the Hwy 58/Harrison link on the left and search the entire MLS by our Map Search. Very intuitive and useful to zero in on homes available in a certain geography.

Let us know if you need anything or if we may help.

Yahoo a pre-approved buyer! You are a rair find these days. :) Good job Ann you did a great job explaining what your requirements for a home are. If you would answer just a couple more questions I can hand pick 5 or 6 that I think you will like or love. 1) do you want in a subdivision or more in a rural setting. 2) do you like the newer style homes or older homes. 3) Is a particular school district important to you? One last thing...it seems to me you are probably hoping to buy a home in mint condition. PS my office is downton on Market Street. :) Talk to you soon, Barbara
