Not sure what is ment by "you are next in line"

Perhaps a clarification of this would be in order from whoever the source was.

If you are in doubt about the information you are being provided probably the best source would be speaking with a bank representative about the status of youe contract offer.

The banks review all offers submitted if the listing agent providing info. your buyers agent they are trying to assist securing your offer would be reviewed. It is not up to agents (listing/buyers) banks that controls all. If the seller referenced info. regarding previous offer did not disclose any buyers name no violation of law. HOWEVER I would continue to keep looking bank does not have to accept your offer. No matter what till you receive an executed contract you are in line.

Banks dont take calls from buyers, in most instance handled thru a 3rd party that represents the bank via their instructions.

first of all, how would your agent know the federally protected private and confidential credit info of other buyers???

Sharing that info with you IS A CRIME
