Thank you for this question Kathleen......there are several sites you may view to satisfy your question. Jacksonville IS the largest land mass city in the continental United States.....so...it is BIG and it is WIDESPREAD. There are wonderful places to live in EVERY area of this city. What is good for one person could be a question for another.
If you are NEW to Jacksonville.....you may wish to take a city-wide tour of the city.....it will show you that there are great places to live .....it is just where YOU feel comfortable.....crime statistics can be found through the local police internet information.......WELCOME to Jacksonville.....this is a FANTASTIC place to live.......the temperate weather....the Ocean...the St Johns River....the ZOO...the medical facilities.....the job opportunities....the MILITARY presence......the fact that Jacksonville is a MELTING POT of persons from all over the world...the great food experiences....the public and private schools that are striving to provide EVERY child with the best education.....we have urban living, farms, waterfront, suburban living, condos, single family homes, apartments......the beaches..
WOW....the only thing we do not have....is ....we do not have snow....well ...we DID have snow Christmas of 1989.....we actually were able to build a foot tall snowman! Safe....you be the judge...I have lived here all my life....and feel blessed that Jacksonville is MY home!
