I would defer to a tax advisor or lawyer for clarification however if your name is still on the mortgage and deed then you are currently a homeowner and would not qualify. However if part of the property settlement gave him the deed exclusively then you could possibly qualify. I can research the public records to see who the owner of record is. If you are interested please let me know.
