Typically your contract will then say that you can take possession of the property at 5 PM the day of the close of escrow ( and escrow is only closed once the recording takes place)- unless you have marked something else. Ask your agent.

Refer to your Real Estate Purchase Contract, page 1, last item at the bottom: 3. Closing and Occupancy
In general, funding happens first then recording; and both could be arranged to happen on the same day. Or, recording may occur the next day "after" funding is received by escrow. Recordation should take only 1 business day and the buyers can have the keys to the house on the same day of recordation.
