I recently had a client who lives in Elizabethtown appeal their property taxes. They were able to save $1000 a year after they won their appeal. This link should give you some info if one wanted to appeal their taxes because of a high assessment. http://co.lancaster.pa.us/Search/Results?searchPhrase=appeal…

May seem like a simple question, but are they in the same township? Age can a play a part. I know that sometimes the township only adjusts (reassess) the home for taxes purposes once the home is sold.....did one of those homes sell recently?

Hope this helps.

Assuming you are referring to real estate taxes on two similar homes. Some factors could affect real estate taxes: Homestead exemption(owner may be an investor and does not actually live at the house), square footage (perhaps one house has a finished basement adding to the sq ft)
