All real estate depends on local market, Best to go directly to a local pro at "Find a Pro" in the header of this website for local advice. http://www.naplesrealestateguys.com/

S, at that price, how much are you willing to put towards repairs? Would there still be value in the home once repairs are made. Some pros to buying a slab home are: no basement and usually an entrance that is level to the ground. The cons for our area are: cold transfer from the ground in our harsh winters and plumbing that could possibly be in the slab. I would strongly recommend having a home inspector inspect the property and pressure test the water lines if the water is not turned on.
Good luck!

It all depends if you need a basement or not and usually plumbing is in the basement.

People build their homes on slabs all the time. Take Florida for instance, all homes are built on a slab. No one has a basement.
