there is a 'lot for sale' sign on Rex Avenue. i pass it every day on my way to work. it is in a residential neighborhood. The City of Phildelphia, including Chestnut Hill, has a ten-year tax abatement for new construction. so, you would pay no new real estate taxes for a decade.

can anyone tell me the price of the lot?

Hi BTS,

Yes there are. Rather than posting the information (thereby creating more competition for you!), please email me and I will follow up. I have one specific property in mind that is newly on the market and in a great location.

There is 1 building lot of .83 acres listed as being on the edge of Chestnut Hill, on Hillcrest Ave, listed at $395,000.
Contact us if you want the full listing.
There are also over 60 homes for sale in the area from row homes to large single detached homes on large lots. The only caution we advise when buying in Philadelphia is to know the boundries of the neighborhood that you are interested in. Often homes are listed as being in one neighborhood when in fact they are in the adjacent neighborhood.
