1/ If I close my credit cards , Is it affect my score? before I buy the house?

I completely agree. You don't want to have any high balances. Also if they are credit cards with alot of credit history than you want to keep those open. I am also a realtor and not a credit professional, but I can safelty say this.

From what I understand from a Mortgage Broker friend is don't close them pay them off and never exceed 30% of your limit.Herb

YES. DONT . I not only a realtor , loan officer, owned a credit repair company for 10 years spoke to 1000's. When you close any credit cards it WILL LOWER SCORES. Keep those lines of credit open HOWEVER reduce balance by at least 50% or more per card.
