610 FICO score, eligible for a VA loan, 20% credit ratio to income. Is it possible to get a home loan. 1 old item is coming off in July will it help?

You can get approved with under a 600 credit score for home loan. I had a 605 credit score and got approved for an VA loan The Lenders Network sent me to one of their lenders to get me approved so I would them first.

Hi Questionsquestions,

Most lenders require at least a 620 middle score for VA loans these days. The other potential problem is that automated underwriting systems have been "tightened" up lately making it more difficult to get loans approved with lower scores.

With all that said, you're only 10 points off and in some cases I can get a 10 point increase in 2-3 days depending on what's affecting your scores.
