I’ve been looking for a more affordable place to live in retirement. I’m not retired yet (59 yrs old) but you just never know when the job will end. So I thought relocating my single wide mobile home to my own lot would make the most economical sense. Exclusionary zoning restricts locating a single wide mobile home outside of a mobile home park. My single wide mobile home is a Fairmont Custom Point West. It has thermal insulation for zone II, which is the northern half of the US. I bought it new on Aug 23, 1991. I'm thinking further south to save on heatng too. Perhaps southern Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia. I curently live in Farmington Hills, Michigan. That's just outside of Detroit.
