Would anyone recommend buying a condo at the ocean club? It has 2 assessments on their units for repairs they made. Thank you

If you like the unit and it suits you financially, no reason not to consider the idea; however do review all building related financials with your attorney, and go from there; if the opportunity arises, you may also wish to consider chatting with some of the neighbors....keep in mind that opinions are oftentimes subjective, what may be good for one may not necessarily be the case for another...

Before anyone would give you a recommendation, you would need to provide more information.

You may have to go to city hall and investigate how much is the assessment of the property. Many times owners do repairs and alterations without proper permits and when the property is sold, the new buyers might have to pay for fines for these repairs/alterations.

I would really recommend you to do your due diligence and investigate what was filled in the record. Hope this answer helped you.

Truly yours,

The Ocean Club in Long Beach, NY is probably one of the best buildings in town. Most residents totally enjoy the friendly atmosphere and helpful staff in the building. As far as assessments, there are three kinds of buildings in town

1) Has just finished an assessment
2) Has a current assessment
3) The board is currently debating having an assessment.

The fact is that living on the beach is expensive and like any other type of real estate there are constant costs to repair and maintain any property.

Do your due diligence and enjoy living at the beach.

Any questions feel free to reply.
