Good morning Susan,
There are no open houses currently scheduled or being advertised. The other agents are correct that given the rainy weather we have been having, most sellers have postponed or canceled their broker's caravans and open houses.
A few points of note that may be of interest to you on the property:
1) It has been on the market for approximately 3 weeks
2) The original list price was $1,775,000 and no price reductions have been implemented yet
3) The last time the property sold was at the end of 1997 for $721, 500
4) The property is currently being sold with a contingency in place for the seller to find their replacement property. I can explain that in further detail if you would like.
I hope that information is helpful. I would be happy to share further details on the property, as well as share some pocket listings (that are not currently on the market) once I hear more about what you are looking for. Given the exclusive nature of our community, nearly 15% of the homes and estates that are sold every month are sold in this fashion without every coming on the market. I work actively to locate these "off market" homes for my clients.
If you are not currently working with another agent, I would love the opportunity to share with you why I consistently represent more buyers in the greater Santa Barbara area than any other agent. I have some exclusive services and creative methods that have proven quite successful in locating and securing properties for my clients. You can contact me at Daniel@Ziagroup.com or call my cell: 805-637-7148.
