Why would a Realtor list something 2x? Yesterday a listing was posted for 5087 Tim (Independence Mi) as if it's available. But the real address

Asked by Fuzled, 48386 Fri Apr 30, 2010

is 5087 Timber Ridge Trail which had Highest and best due 4/27 per the Trulia listing posted by the same agent 4/23. This seems deceptive.

True, true, true--Chip is right on the money. The way to get the most accurate listing info is to allign yourself w/ a good agent and work with them as a team. The best & hottest deals are being snapped up within a couple of days of hitting the market via the Realtor MLS (multi-list system). Get yourself in a working relationship with a good agent who can set you up to get automatic daily email updates for new listings and price reductions within your area/criteria. If you are relying on public access sites for the freshest info, you are setting yourself up for a big dissapointment. Sorry Trulia! You're great for tons of other stuff. ;)

In the Realtors MLS system, which most will agree is the only
way to see accurate listings of properties, 5087 TIMBER RIDGE TRL
is shown for sale in only one listing.
If the listing was updated to show the request for highest & best offers,
the 2 listings may have overlapped in Trulia until the system was updated.
There are no dual listings on this property with the MLS.

It appears an offer was accepted on 5087 TIMBER RIDGE TRL 4/29/2010.
That update information is shown within the MLS system which is up to date.

There are other properties available in that same neighborhood.
