My husband is a police officer and can run any neighborhood you are interested in. In general, Roseville is very safe! I have lived here for over ten years and have not experienced any crime. My nephew lives up in the Blue Oaks area and has not experienced any crime at all. Please contact me if you would like a detailed report of what kind of crime is going on in Roseville.

Thank you for offering that information. My company is relocating to Rancho Cordova this winter and I was recently in Roseville on Labor day weekend to see if I like the area before commiting to move. I really like all the local shops and I have research the school district San Juan which is highly recommended. I would like to also make sure the new location I moved to is safe. I would really value your husband advise on what areas to avoid since I am not familiar with any of the surrounding area's.

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

Because there is the APPEARANCE of wealth, not substance of wealth.

Also, I COMPLETELY disagree with the person stating Roseville is very safe. If you look at the crime rate Roseville is nearly double that of the state of California and remember, that includes places like Fresno, Compton, and Oakland.

To give you more examples, I've lived in the "desired area" of the Galleria for over 2 years now. We regularly find stolen merchandise in the dumpsters, 10+ cars have been broken into in the last month or two, one for nothing more then a plan folder. I had the catalytic converter cut out of my truck, and don't forget there was a multiple shooting possible homicide drug deal gone back right in front of the mall. If that is VERY safe, what's bad? That person is clearly in a bubble, the rest of us life in a crime rate nearly 3 times that of placer county.

FYI, I just looked at homes in San Diego, CA (one of the most expensive places in the country). Dollar per Dollar, you get WAY more property for your money. Don't believe me? Look for a $250,000 in both Roseville, then in San Diego (easy ocean access close by nearly everywhere). You see what you can buy....

East Roseville is best. Eureka school district. Close to Granite Bay isn't bad either but pricy. Lived in this area for 10 years and If I moved back it would be to this area.
