Why doesn't Trulia list the previous home owner's name? Isn't that also public record data?

Owner's names are not public information. Furthermore, counties charge a fee for making information available, so in addition to the legal issues, there would be a large cost factor that would add no practical value.

This information is recorded, but I would question the reason anyone would need to have such information.

Hi Rwilcox,

I think it's a privacy issue...but someone from trulia would really need to answer that for sure. Hope that was helpful...happy new year!
