In new construction, taxes may not yet be determined by the town. They should not be N/A but TBD, or to be determined, or estimated.
With co operatives, taxes may be included in with fees for maintenance and possibly utilities, then N/A is accurate.
That happens to us quite often. We don't fail to ask that question but often sellers do not know what they pay - -and fail to keep their promise to look it up. Other times, a property must be subdivided to be sold, in which case you don't really know what the tax is going to be. A discussion with the assessor will give ballpark figures, but you have to wait until the bill comes out to be certain. Many buyers do not understand this.
Agree with my colleague John. Any tax information you need can be easily accessible on 1 of our web sites or calling the town you need. Any help needed am always available 845-304-3040 or my email Allan.Erps@RandRealty.com
Mister Nye, The information on Trulia is fed by the Multiple Listing System. If the Listing Agent does not enter a tax amount, it will come to Trulai as N/A. You can get tax info from the Town website or you can call the Town Tax Office.
