Ikea currently has 25% off kitchen cabinets.I've seen a redo in North Hills that was amazing using Ikea. The cost was $5000. It looked terrific!

There are some quality cabinet refacing companies in the area. Bull Restoration does amazing things with dated kitchens for a fraction of the cost of new cabinets. You have to consider the overall value of the home to determine if new or refaced is the way to go. It would be tough to get your money back on all new cabinetry.

If your Cabinets are more than 20 years old;
Try an experiment:
Go in to a Lowe's or Home Depot, and look at the cabinets there; pull out a drawer and open a door.
You will see the difference.
Then, if you say that that doesn't matter to you; then go ahead and re-face.

The other question is; would you be doing this for yourself, or the next owner?
If your thinking about the next owner, ask this question; "will they want a cheap half-a-- job?"

Replacing cabinets in a home can be quite costly even in a small kitchen. Those cabinets are definitely in need of a face lift. However you will probably be better of dressing them up rather than replacing them. Also buyers in today's market are not a fan of white appliances.
