Where to buy in Las Vegas?

Asked by Tulsa, Las Vegas, Las Vegas, NV Sun Apr 29, 2012

We are looking to move out to Vegas. However, we do want at least a 4 bed/3 bath. It must have good schools and the most we want to spend is around $250k. What areas would you recommend?

Thanks!

I love Aliante, although I think anyone that moves to Vegas, and enjoys it, will feel partial to where ever they happen to live. Certainly can find homes in your price range, and the schools seem good. Good luck!

Are you sure you are credit qualified to buy a $250,000 house, which also requires around a 20% down payment. Really can't determine what fits your needs from your question.

Hello:
I live in Summerlin and want to say that Agent Larysa Dombrovska, is correct I will also say that the most requests to see homes are Green Valley, Summerlin, Anthem, Southern Highlands.

You need an Agent who can help you find the home of your dreams and give you "personal service".
Sending you to their website is not selling.

Call Larysa or give me a call to get more details as to what type of home you will be happy with. Although $250,000 is o.k. you might have to step up a little bit on price to find a great home that is ready to move in and you won't need to spend more money to fix it up.
Good luck to you. (702) 332-9511

This is easy. Depending on the lifestyle you enjoy think about these things: West Side/Summerlin west of Rainbow. Lots of great shoping, resturants, not to far from Hotel Casinos/ Strip, Golf, Walking Paths, but busy area overall. If you want the same things but slower/calmer pace look at Green Valley Ranch, 7 Hills Anthem South Side of town. My wife and I have lived in both over the last 35 years so we know both very well. If you like boating, Green Valley is only 30 min. from Lake. If you like Mountains Hiking, Summerlin is only 20 to 30 min to Mt. Charelston. There is no safer area then 7 Hills Anthem. If you would like to talk about it further please call any time. We specialize in relocation, buyer, investor specialists. Fee free to use our web site to look at the most current listings. Welcome to Vegas!

Hello Tulsa, Arbor View and Palo Verde are the highest rated public high school districts, so if schools are important to you, this is a good starting point. Also, would you consider private schools?

Feel free to call me directly at 702-291-8186.

I will say the areas i get the most requests to see homes are Green Valley,
Summerlin, Anthem, Southern Highlands,
and Mountains Edge and about 50% of my sales are in those 5 general areas.
I do still sell a lot of homes in other
locations as well some of which are fantastic areas, but those are probably the
5 areas of town that i get
the most requests for. As for those locations a lot of buyers don't like the 2
HOA dues in those locations
so many start to look at the outskirts of those locations but generally the
requests start in those areas.
I hope that helps some.

Hello,

My wife is a school teacher so I have a good pulse on the schools.. not just the ratings.... :-) Based on your price point you will be able to buy any where you choose in the valley. The general rule of thumb from most consumers is Summerlin, Green Valley, Anthem, and the Seven Hills area's for schools...

Something to take into consideration is private schools... whether you are for them or against them, being near the top private schools gives you options and is always good for the value of your home!

If you would like to further the conversation you can find me and more about my team and I at:

or

DaleSnyder1 on YouTube.

Have a great day!

Hope this helps some...

Oh ya, you can go onto CCSD.net I believe to get more info on the schools as well..

I think the best area is what would work for you. Are you into golfing, hiking, boating, skiing, and how far of a drive to work. So many people say Henderson, Summerlin etc, but the areas they are saying are usually preferences or their personal opinions. There are fabulous areas all over the city and some great schools too.

Crime checks on any area can be done . But you will see crime even in the very best areas.
I am a true native of Vegas and I know this city like the back of my hand so I would be happy to talk to you about all your options. If you interview agents , which you should. I would love to be on your list. You can email me at Rhondasellsvegas@gmail.com . My web site is http://www.AllLasVegasHomes.com .

Are you qualified to buy $250,000 house? That's $50,000 provable ready cash + closing for down payment. We could find you a great short sale or bank foreclosure today, but good deals are being Sold fast. Best check out your financing before hiring a Buyer's Agent, if want want a deal!

Henderson is the #2 Safest City on the Forbes Safest City List this year!
Small town feel, considering the Strip is 15 minutes away.
Old Town Henderson's Water St. Hosts local parades, car shows, holiday activities, etc.
Locals are well taken care of and the discounts are great!
I moved here from Ca. 3 years ago and absolutely LOVE it !

Coming from a person who made his mistake and bought before actually moving here, I recommend that you come here and rent for a few months while you discover what area of town you like best.
This will be much more beneficial to you.
I can find a rental for you as well. Just visit my website http://www.LasVegasRealEstateConnection.com and click on Luxury Rentals.

Hi Tulsa,

My website http://www.LasVegasRealEstateConnection.com has a ton of useful information for you including websites for the school system here that contain academic information and school locations.

Depending on what your family needs and enjoys, for example, do you need to be within a certain distance to your places of employment or close to recreational activities your family enjoys, I can recommend several different areas to accommodate your needs.

I hope to hear from you.

Sincerely,

The correct answer to your question requires more information than you have provided. You will be able to find what you are looking for in the price range you desire in more than one location in the Las Vegas Valley. Do you want or need to be close to a new work location, close to friends or relatives, close to specific parks or other areas of interest? Contact me or another Realtor in Las Vegas to set up a search based on all your needs and wants. I would strongly suggest a trip to Las Vegas to look at a few possibilities. My number is 702-666-1158
