Crime statistics for most neighborhoods are usually available on the City website. So, log into the City website where your interest lies, and look under Code Enforcement, or Emergency Services. Easier still, call the particular City and ask under which section they have listed their crime statistics, then look it up. All the Best.

I see that you are asking about North Carolina. However, for home buyers In San Diego County, CA the website for finding crime statistics is http://www.arjis.org. ARJIS is Automated Regional Justice Information System.

If you are interested in crime statistics in the northeast Florida area, log onto COJ.net (City of Jacksonville). Select "Sheriff's Office" from the left side drop bar and go to Crime Statistics. Once there, select that you agree with the terms of use and go to any area of interest. Click on the map and the crime breakdown will appear on the right side of the screen.

Most cities have police department websites that post maps noting the various crime rates. If it happens to be in an area that does not have an up to date website, the best thing to do is call the local police department's non-emergency number and ask for the statistics. Good luck!
