I would first get yourself a buyer broker who can assist you in each step of the buying process. You should first get prequalified by a trusted lender, then have your agent search for homes in the area's you like. Drive by and pick out 3 or 4 you want toget inside. Once inside ask to see the sellers property information report to get information on things like the age of the roof, siding, windows, heating system, electric etc and if you the disclose any problems. Then put in an offer, they accpet and you are on your way to home ownership. Good luck with your purchase.
