What's the difference in quality and experience between pennsbury and council rock schools?

I'm thinking of buying in bucks county. I have three toddlers, so the school system is paramount.

Council Rock has the higher rating, but Pennsbury is fine. If you buy in Pennsbury, make sure you're not zoned for Fallsington Elementary.

Council Rock School North is definitely the best choice. My child goes there and I wouldn't want her in any other school. Both North and South have thousands of children but each child gets personalized attention from their high school counselor. The counselor keeps you updated as the parent in terms of their grades and what level of each class the child should take. I also love the online system that lets you view their daily attendance, grades and homework for the day. Also, both Council Rock schools have tons of sports to choose from.

Hope this helps!

The school systems are Blue Ribbon Quality! I have raised my chilldren in Council Rock Schools. The district continues to have outstanding programs.. May I suggest you go to crsd.org for current information. I also have sold many homes to people moving to Pennsbury that are completely happy!
If you like I will put you together with moms from both communities and you can get a feel for what you believe is the best for your childrens needs

Both schools are very good for many differing reasons. They both have great programs to offer a wide variety of students. Both offer advanced placement courses as well as classes for developing students.
I grew up in this area and attended PHS myself. Two of my four kids have graduated from there and are attending great colleges of their choice. My girls are presently at the highschool and would have it no other way. The way I handled it was to listen to my kids. I offered them other highschool choices but they wanted to stay in Pennsbury. There are many Council Rock families that have experienced the same devotion. AS well as these two schools, we are surrounded by some of the areas best private schools! All are deep in their own traditions. Pennsbury blends their kids at two different schools/campuses while Council Rock has two seperate highschools, which can have its disadvantages as well as as advantages.
My suggestion is to meet with an advisor with your kids and figure out what school fits their individual interests. Both schools are great and all kids get out of an experience what they put into it.

There are many websites where you can research school ratings and their programs such as http://www.schooldigger.com

Pennsbury is a troubled school district with a very stormy history of school board changes. It has a low teacher morale, due to many inconsistencies, but the lower grade schools in the Yardley section are OK. The high school is mediocre in every way, but kids can get a decent education there. Council Rock beats Pennsbury hands down!!

They are both very highly rated school systems. There are other considerations that may be able to help you make your choice. Feel free to contact me to discuss further.
