You will be able to find the last years property tax amount and taxable value at either Hillsborough County Property appraisers website or to the Hillsborough County Tax collector's website. To determine the estimate for the next year use the property tax estimator found on the Property appraisers website. You will need to know if you are claiming homestead or not because it can change your tax bill by about $700-$800 per year.

In Florida we pay taxes in arrears so you can only estimate for the next year and your current year's bill is not available unit November of every year.

Trulia Tampa, your questions is pretty vague. If you would like to look up property taxes for a property go to the tax collector's website and look up the property. If you'd like to find out the millage rate for the county/city/unincorporated area of a particular county, than check with the tax collector or property appraiser of the respective county. There are ad valorum and non ad valorum taxes associated with each property. Some individuals receive discounts on their property taxes, again check with the tax collector.

If you are looking for property in the Tampa Bay area you need to know which county the property is in. Then go that counties' Property Tax Collector's web site for the most current property tax bill and history of tax payments. Here's a list of local counties with some of the cities that are in those counties and the links to the tax collector web sites where you can look up property tax records. If you are not familiar with Florida's property tax laws you will also find the tax collector websites a great resource for things like filing Homestead Exemption.

Hillsborough county property tax search (includes Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, Lutz, Temple Terrace, New Tampa)

Pasco county property tax search (includes Lutz, Land O Lakes, Zephyrhills, Wesley Chapel, New Port Richey, Odessa)

Pinellas county property tax search (includes St Petersburg, Clearwater, Dunedin, Safety Harbor, Palm Harbor, Largo,

Tarpon Springs)

Manatee county property tax search (includes Bradenton, Palmetto, Ellenton, Anna Maria)

Hope this helps.

The best way to find how much property taxes are for a specific home is to look up the address on the property appraiser's website at http://www.hcpafl.org, then click "Tax Records" on the right hand side.
