The value of the lot is impacted by what someone might be able to build on that lot in the far distant future. The lot sizes can be depends on space of land. The average lots would be from 2,000 sq ft. To 8,500.sq ft.

This depends. On streets such as Navy, Marine.... it can be as little as 2500sqft, on for example Raymond just west of Lincoln it can be 7000sqft. If you can provide a smaller area naming boundary streets, I tell you more specifically. Feel free to reach out. http://www.trulia.com/profile/SriKesava/

Good question. I'd say if you average lots would be around 4,000 sq ft. Lots are 2,500 sq ft. to a few rate 8,000 sq ft. Please let me know if you have additional questions or need additional help.

Most lots in the area are close to 5.000 SQF. However there are properties with much smaller or much larger lots (anywhere from 2,500 to 7,500 )

Love Ocean Park, great neighborhood. The largest lots, which are along 3rd St., and north of Ocean Park Blvd. and east of 4th St. can be as large as the 8,000 foot range. The smallest lots, which are along Navy, Marine + 2nd St. on the south end, can be under 2,000 sq. ft.

Jodi's answer is a good answer. None of the lots really go below 1,998 square feet. A standard lot per Santa Monica zoning must be 5,000 sq. ft., so most lots in Santa Monica's Ocean Park neighborhood are substandard and require variances to build on.

In this neighborhood, it really varies. The lot sizes can be a small as 3500 sq ft to 7300 sq ft, but most of them are between 3500 to 5500 sq. ft.

Thanks Heather! So 3100 would be substandard west of Lincoln and E of Main...not a good buy?
