I did some digging around for reviews of this neighborhood, but found conflicting information.
One Google Reviewer rated it as "Excellent" overall, adding "Loved it", whereas Jim, a user on Trulia went into more detail.
Jim rated it one star out of five, saying that the neighborhood could be "great once again... but bad leadership has caused a decline in the community"
I hope that helps,
Section 8 of the US Housing Act authorizes the payment of rental assistance to landlords for low income residents. We researched this and found that Saw Creeks Estates accepts Section 8 housing from a program in Newark, NJ. Feel free to Google “Saw Creek Estates” and “Section 8” to see for yourself.
With Section 8 housing comes all the problems of the ghetto including crime such as break-ins, robberies, slashed tires of cars in driveways and gang activity related to drugs.
We were absolutely horrified when we arrived and realized where we were. Google crime and “Saw Creek Estates” to see for yourself. If you are an animal lover, you should know the board of the property culled over 300 deer and are considered by residents (the ones not on Section 8) to be very much against animals.
Run far far away from Saw Creek Estates.
It use to be a nice place but the white trash has moved in and now it looks like a movie from who has my hood!
I wont be surprised if the next thing you see will be lynching's
If you want your car broken into and your children to be raped this is the place for you...Me?...I'm getting out!
You want an area without people just buy 20 acres and put a fence up. Maybe you will be happy living with no shopping or amenities near by.
of course, i lived not far from blakelee, and love that area. the same could be said: some parts of blakeslee are in decline; others are not.
the difference is saw creek is meant to be a somewhat upscale estate, with dues and property taxes to match.
at least blakeslee had pride of ownership without all that.
